The issue was remedied within several hours, and few customers were likely affected. However, if there is concern about missing Originality Reports for particular Assignments in your Learn instance please contact Blackboard Support.

1 year, 10 months ago Up Please be advised that the storm has passed the Washington DC metro area. Our operations were not impacted by the severe weather. Datacenter buildings have been inspected and there are no issues to report at this time. All datacenter operations remain stable and working under normal conditions.
1 year, 10 months ago Info The Washington, DC metro area has been warned of potentially severe winter storm conditions that may start Friday mid-day and extend over the weekend. Our datacenters in Northern Virginia have redundant power distribution infrastructure and also have backup generators and battery systems. Datacenter facility staff have completed their physical inspection of the buildings and infrastructure. The Blackboard Hosting team is taking extra precautions to ensure continuity of service by having additional staff physically available at each of our datacenter facilities in Northern Virginia, as well as engaging our international resources in case of power loss at our offices. We will provide additional updates if needed on the status page.

2 years ago Info While Pacnet/Telstra are still working towards a full resolution, additional capacity has been added to the network to ease the traffic caused by the subsea cable failure. While no issues have been reported accessing Crocodoc and Safeassign from South East Asia in the past 24 hours, please contact Client Support in case of issues with these systems.
2 years ago Intermittent Problems Pacnet/Telstra are experiencing connectivity issues with one of the subsea cables between Philippines and Japan, and currently working on resolving the issue. Unfortunately they don't have an ETR at the moment. Managed Hosting and Self Hosted clients based in South East Asia that use Crocodoc and Safeassign might experience slow response times and other performance issues.

2 years, 3 months ago Maintenance Blackboard will be performing emergency infrastructure data center maintenance in the Virginia (VA3) data center on Saturday, September 5, 2015 between 1:00PM EDT to 7:00PM EDT; Sunday September 6, 2015 between 9:00AM EDT to 4:30PM EDT; and Monday September 7, 2015 between 9:00AM EDT to 4:30PM EDT. This maintenance is not expected to be service impacting, but there is always the chance that some users may experience brief and intermittent degradation of services during these time periods.

The Managed Hosting Engineers will perform an infrastructure maintenance at the datacenter. While we anticipate no prolonged interruption in service as a result of the work, brief intermittent connectivity while using the Blackboard software cannot be entirely ruled out.
