On March 31, 2026, Blackboard will be replacing the current Email Relay solution (Sentrion) with a new email relay solution (Amazon SES) which will provide a more robust, scalable, and reliable service. If you use Blackboard email relay service to send emails from your custom domain (for example donotreply@monument.edu), this change will impact you. DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) will now be a required configuration when you use our e-mail relays and a non-’blackboard.com’ domain to send e-mail from your Blackboard LMS. This support bulletin is only applicable to clients that send emails from a custom domain. There will be no impact or disruption to email functionality in the application during the transition i.e., Messages and email functionality will continue to work as normal
